Yanti came to yoga in 2003 in order to manage her hip and lower back issues caused by life as a polo-playing karateka. From there, she began a journey influenced by a variety of traditions including Ashtanga, Hatha and Bhakti yoga. Yanti loves the creative aspects of Vinyasa power flow. She teaches a dynamic class focusing on building heat, developing strength using correct biomechanics and body awareness, and creating flexibility through sequences that are alignment-based. Through imagery and an inspiring, playful narrative, students deconstruct challenging asanas and build tools to achieve them. On the yin side, Yanti is extremely fond of teaching restorative yoga, meditation and seniors yoga.
